First Baptist Church

Founded in 1796, First Baptist is an American Baptist church with an ecumenical congregation. First is the "Mother Church" of Colgate University.

Special courses are offered during the school year for adults and young adults. These courses may be Bible study, related to particular books of the Bible - or they may relate to a topic, book or film of current interest. The congregation inspires and suggests the topics and the congregation and surrounding community provide a wealth of resources for teachers and discussion leaders.
