Founded in 1796, First Baptist is an American Baptist church with an ecumenical congregation. First is the "Mother Church" of Colgate University.

Worship Services and Weekly Activities

Fall/Winter/Spring schedule:

SUNDAY MORNINGS: 8:45 choir rehearsal; 9:30 Sunday School; 10:30 worship, with coffee hour following.

WEEKLY/MONTHLY ACTIVITIES:

• Mondays and Fridays, 7-9 p.m., AA.
• Mondays, 7-9 p.m. Al-Anon.
• Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., Yoga Fellowship Group.
• Thursdays, Morning Prayer, 7:00 a.m.
• Second Wednesday of month: Tri-County Coin Club meets 7 - 9 p.m.
• Thursdays, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Interwoven Hearts Bible Study.
• Alternate Saturdays, 10 - noon, Ellen's quilting class. If interested, please call Ellen Mordus evenings at 824-1995.

CHURCH BOARDS:

• Deacons: First Wednesday of each month 7:00 p.m.
• Trustees: Second Wednesday of each month 5:30 p.m.
• Missions: Second Tuesday of each month 7:00 p.m.

Summer Schedule

Worship at 10:00 a.m.
First Baptist Church has summer union services with Park United Methodist Church. July services in one chuch, August services in the other.
