Founded in 1796, First Baptist is an American Baptist church with an ecumenical congregation. First is the "Mother Church" of Colgate University.

Worship Services and Weekly Activities

Fall/Winter/Spring schedule:

SUNDAY MORNINGS: 8:45 choir rehearsal; 9:30 Sunday School and Adult Bible Study; 10:30 worship, with coffee hour following.

WEEKLY/MONTHLY ACTIVITIES:

• FBC Youth Group meets on Sunday afternoon 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., September - June.
• Mondays and Fridays, 8:00 -9:00 p.m., AA.
• Mondays, 8:00 -9:00 p.m. Al-Anon.
• Tuesdays and Fridays, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m., Yoga Fellowship Group.
• Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m., CMH Auxiliary Twigs
• Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m., CMH Twiglets
• Wednesdays, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m., Discover Painting (228-2028 to register).
• Wednesdays, 7 p.m., FBC Bible Study
• Second Wednesday of month: Tri-County Coin Club meets 8 p.m.
• Third Wednesday of month: Hamilton Village Association of Clergy, 10:30 a.m.
• Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Interwoven Hearts Bible Study.
• Fridays, 9 a.m. - 12 noon CWF Basketmakers (October and November).

CHURCH BOARDS:

• Deacons: First Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.
• Trustees: Second Wednesday of each month 5:30 p.m.
• Missions: First Tuesday of each month 7:00 p.m.
• Christian Education: as needed

Summer Schedule

Worship at 10:00 a.m. in the summer. Union services with Park United Methodist Church begin in July, with congregations returning to their own churches in September.
