The Reverend Joseph Edgar Glaze |
Pastor Glaze came to First Baptist as interim pastor in 2002. He moved to our area that year from Richmond, Virginia when his wife, the Reverend Jennifer Glaze Mongtomery, became rector of St. James Episcopal Church in Clinton NY. Fortunately for us, we were able to secure his services as our full-time pastor in 2003. Joe is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and received masters' degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond Virginia. He is a candidate for a doctoral degree at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC. In addition to his caring and engaging personality, Joe brings to our congregation broad experience in both congregational and community leadership, teaching, counseling, and worship design and direction. He has a strong interest in the integration of ministry, community service and spirituality.
